  • A minimum score of 70% is required.

  • All 100 (true/false, matching, multiple choice) questions on the test are taken from a bank of 300 study questions covering the basics of parliamentary procedure and will include:
    1. precedence of motions,
    2. contents of bylaws,
    3. order of business,
    4. steps in handling a motion, and
    5. vote or action required for ranking motions.

  • CSAP sponsors an online, interactive, self-scoring study guide for the 300 Question Membership Examination It is available free to all interested persons. Visit the site by clicking this link, and use it often in your study for the examination.

  • You may also download the study questions (in pdf format) for the membership exam online - www.parliamentarians.org/300ques10th.pdf.

  • The process is outlined on the back of the application. You can download the application (in pdf format) - www.parliamentarians.org/memberapp.pdf.

  • Separate checks for national and state dues must be paid at the time you submit your membership application.

  • You should also arrange to have an NAP member or a responsible member of your community monitor your exam.

  • There is no time limit on writing the exam; however, you and your monitor should plan on up to one hour for the test.

  • After the monitor mails your test back to the NAP Membership Examiners Committee, you will receive your results within a few weeks!
