California State Association of
Parliamentarians
Division of the National Association of Parliamentarians

- 2004-2005 GOALS
The CSAP President and Board of Directors have established the following
goals for the year 2004-2005:
-
To communicate the message of proper parliamentary procedure
to groups, clubs, organization, agencies, and individuals.
-
To increase involvement in our communities through workshops,
seminars, and the media.
-
To enhance the level of unit lessons and activities with the assistance
of area registered parliamentarians and members with advanced
knowledge of parliamentary law willing to share their time and talents.
-
A newly established CSAP Extension & Development Task Force comprised of
skilled, dedicated leaders willing to share their time and talents. Their tasks
will include:
-
Assisting with the formation of new units with the assistance of
Members-At-Large, Area Directors, Unit Members, and the CSAP Board.
-
Assisting with Units at risk of disbanding, before it is too late to
revitalize the members.
-
Using skilled members to give classes and membership tests for prospective
members, as needed.
-
Assist with small and large training sessions and study for members interested
in becoming registered.
-
Present a training session at the Convention and separate training sessions
in at least 4 areas of the state, again utilizing skilled members of CSAP and
at the request of any member or members.
-
We encourage the submission of articles of interest to members studying
Parliamentary Procedure to the quarterly California Parliamentarian.
-
A new section will be added to our web site for sharing ideas with
task force and other members.
-
We want to continue long range planning, so we need input from those
viewing this web site. What do you think of the web site and the
direction in which CSAP is going — what is working, what is not working
well, new ideas, new goals to consider, successes, etc. — therefore,
we want to hear from you.
-
We hope to attract more members with the help of our members and
our web site.
-
To value and retain our members. We need to grow and become a
stronger educational organization and better known in our communities.
-
We hope to encourage better and more Members-At-Large participation
in CSAP and service on the CSAP Board.
-
We encourage increased participation in the RP exams and PRP courses.
